My Thorn

I have melted into your eyes,
Into their lipid, pooled beauty.
Lost my heart in the depths of your rolling sea,
Your soul.
My aching arms long to hold the heavens,
To hold you near.
Your passion shines in a warm cascade,
As my soul lies, writhing in your grasp.
You are such a bittersweet pain burning in my breast,
You kill me slowly.
I die the little death for you;
You are rapture and a torture,
To be so near,
You are all I dream of and all I fear.
I destroy me for you,
And you are,
My death and rebirth,
My salvation and damnation,
Nowhere and everything,
Heaven and Hell,
My candy-coated poison,
My thorn.
The Rose

A torrential downpour,
Burning in flames, desire
Running high
In a game of chaos
A thunderstorm of rage
Lightning striking in anguish
Crashing through
The dying light,
Of eternal gray
Abysmal and dreary,
Wretched and decaying,
The dying world
Kept alive only to keep you in misery
This is the Wrath of the Rose
The pain of living,
The dream of dying,
A forgone love...
A life without purpose
The past still remembered
Hopes of returning,
To a life that once was...
Once was joyous,
Once was worth living
A life forever lost
To the Wrath of the Rose
A glint of fear
Costs so much
Paying back a moments hesitation
With a lifetime of regret
Tormented forever,
Wondering what could have been
What can now?
Never be
Fear alone is the true Wrath
Destroying the Rose
Sun and Wind

Sun and wind
Moon and tides
Calmness in the
Trees abides
A girl once shone
Her beauty bright
Her hands in silence
Fought the night
Days dawned
Days went by
In a daze
She tried not to cry
But wind and tides
Sun and moon
Are no match for
Rain, that's ruin
Rain in her heart
As strong as tides
Rain the sun and
Moon can't hide
Rain no wind
Can sweep out to sea
Rain that consumes
The peaceful trees
The bitter roots
Now naked and exposed
She breathes despair
Sadness, her clothes
There's no water
There's no soil
Years of solitude
Long-lasting toil
And now she waits
And prays for rain
A lack of feeling
Is worse than pain
